Is there an ecofriendly oil change system for garages?
Change is good, and all cars need oil changes. In the coming weeks we will be switching to the Eco Box System at our garage. We are so happy to be able to actively make changes to be better stewards of our environment. We used Simington’s in Hagersville for our supplier – Facebook
A Greener Way to Change Your Oil.
The Ecobox System is designed to significantly reduce plastic waste. The automotive industry has progressively added more types oil for different vehicles and this has also contributed to garages facing a problem of storing the oil. In a small garage like ours we use plastic containers, large dealerships use tanks to store oil. We use up to 9 different types of oil. The Eco Box system is a win-win for businesses and the environment.
How Does it work?
The Exobox system replaces individual quart size oil bottles with a large 24-quart box containing a special plastic liner. This eliminates the need for excessive plastic and simplifies the oil dispensing process.
This design offers several benefits:
- Reduced Plastic Waste: 89% reduction in plastic waste.
- Easy Dispensing: The box features a valve for easy pouring. The oil is then transferred to the engine using a pump and pitcher system.
- Recyclable Packaging: The cardboard is fully recyclable.
Benefits for Businesses
- Cost Savings: Less plastic means less waste disposal costs
- The dispensing system saves time during oil changes
